APRIL 19-25, 2020
(Eatontown, New Jersey, 2020) – Reproductive Science Center of New Jersey and RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association, will recognize National Infertility Awareness Week, April 19-25, joining millions of women and men fighting the disease of infertility, healthcare professionals, mental health professionals, and other thought leaders to promote greater awareness about infertility.
National Infertility Awareness Week® (NIAW) is a movement that began in 1989. The goal of NIAW is to raise awareness about the disease of infertility and encourage the public to understand their reproductive health.
RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association founded this movement and continues to work with the professional family building community, corporate partners, and the media to:
- Ensure that people trying to conceive know the guidelines for seeing a specialist when they are trying to conceive.
- Enhance public understanding that infertility is a disease that needs and deserves attention.
- Educate legislators about the disease of infertility and how it impacts people in their state.
In 2010 National Infertility Awareness Week became a federally recognized health observance by the Department of Health and Human Services.
Empowering YOU and Changing the Conversation
Empowering YOU and Changing the Conversation is the theme RESOLVE is using to raise awareness about the significant lack of access to family building options and emotional support for millions of women and men struggling to build a family. National Infertility Awareness Week, founded in 1989 by RESOLVE, is the largest public awareness campaign that addresses the public health issue of infertility.
As the public discourse around infertility is at an all-time high, we’d like to highlight the issues important to the millions of Americans struggling to build a family. Infertility does not discriminate based on sex, race, religion, age or even socio-economic status. Let’s uncover the issues of access facing the most vulnerable members of our community — those without access to insurance coverage for infertility care or the economic means to pay out-of-pocket for treatments, third-party options or adoption. And let’s get real about the support needed to resolve infertility.
Reproductive Science Center of New Jersey’s experienced staff of doctors, nurses and technicians fully understands the difficult emotional and medical challenges that confront patients struggling with infertility. Our fertility center combines a commitment to sensitive care with a state-of-the-art program, offering comprehensive care and the latest infertility treatments, ranging from in vitro fertilization and artificial insemination to drug therapies and tubal ligation reversal.
On Wednesday, April 22 show your support and to help change the conversation around infertility. Whether infertility directly effects you or someone you know show your support and #WearOrange! Don’t forget to take a selfie and tag @resolveorg using the hashtag #WearOrange.
