RSCNJ’s Dr. Alan Martinez recently discussed mosaicism and what mosaic embryos mean for couples undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) with “Creating A Family” executive director Dawn Davenport.
Mosaic embryos contain cells with both normal and abnormal chromosome sequences, and can be identified by preimplantation genetic testing during IVF. During the radio show, Dr. Martinez answers questions about the screening process, what mosaicism means for couples and individuals undergoing IVF, pregnancy success, and the health of offspring born from implanted mosaic embryos.
