Althea O’Shaughnessy, MD
Dr. Althea O’Shaughnessy obtained her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and went on to do a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The University of Connecticut School of Medicine and Dentistry. She completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York City in 1988. She then became a faculty member at UMDNJ Cooper University Hospital participating in numerous research studies in the field of Reproductive Medicine and presented her findings at medical conferences throughout the world.
Dr. O’Shaughnessy went into private practice and became Medical Director of Princeton Center for Infertility & Reproductive Medicine in Lawrenceville, NJ for over 17 years. This experience allowed her to care for a variety of patients with infertility and women of all age groups with reproductive hormonal disorders. Dr. O’Shaughnessy has extensive experience in performing minimally invasive/laparoscopic surgery and has been acknowledged as a leader in her field of expertise. She received numerous awards for patient care by Castle Connelly including Top Women’s Doctor of New Jersey 2009, Top Doctor In The Nation, 2010 and Top Doctor in New Jersey 2012. She is Board Certified in Reproductive Endocrinology, a Fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and The American Society of Reproductive Surgeons. Dr. O’Shaughnessy joined Reproductive Science Center of New Jersey in April of 2012 and will continue to provide individualized, compassionate and exceptional medical care of the highest quality.
